NEC Awards Over $30,000 to Aid Teachers
Nueces Energy Cooperative
CORPUS CHRSITI (News Release) – The Supply a teacher program by NEC Co-op Energy aims to ease the financial burden on our NEC Co-op Energy member teachers to supply their classrooms by awarding grants from $500 to $2,500. “It’s within our Cooperative principles to support communities and education and that’s exactly what this program is all about. We’re honored to have developed this program and having the opportunity to help supply classrooms of our members. Being able to help these teachers who sacrifice so much to supply their classrooms with funds from their own paycheck is overwhelming. Many of these teachers are in need of resupplying outdated materials, replacing broken equipment, and purchasing hands on learning activities or incentives for their students” says NEC Chief Executive Officer, Varzavand “Avan” Irani.
