NAS Kingsville Welcomes New Commander

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS (News Release) - Captain Eric Bromley was 'piped ashore' for the final time Friday after relinquishing command of Naval Air Station Kingsville to Captain Michael Bishop.

Rear Admiral John Hewitt, Commander, Navy Region Southeast, presented Bromley the Legion of Merit. Bromley is retiring after two years commanding NASK and a total of 24 years of service in the Navy.

After Bishop reported to Hewitt that he had assumed command, Bishop's wife pinned on the Command Ashore pin.

Bishop enlisted in the Navy in 1993 and was commissioned as an officer in 2001. He most recently served as officer-in-charge of Isa Air Base, Bahrain.

Naval Air Station Kingsville wished 'Fair Winds and Following Seas' to Bromley as he moves into the next phase of his life and the 'Welcome Aboard' Skipper Bishop.
