KLEBERG & NUECES COUNTY (News Release) - Last week Nueces County Constable's Office Pct 3 took multiple reports for stolen vehicles that were taken from the side of the road after being broken down.

Precinct 3 investigators requested assistance from the Nueces County District Attorney's Criminal Interdiction Unit in investigating this matter and on Wednesday May 24th 2023, Officers and deputies assigned to the NCDA-CIU were able to locate and track down the suspects in the thefts.

The suspects were actively trying to extort money from the owner of a stolen BMW who in turn contacted investigators. Through investigated means we were able to determine that the suspects were at the Walmart located on IH 69 in Calallen.

Officers and deputies were quickly able to apprehend multiple subjects and recover that stolen vehicle. Throughout the investigation we were able to determine that another vehicle that had been reported stolen over the weekend was located at the suspect's residence in Kingsville Texas.

With the help of the Kingsville Police Department, it was determined that the stolen vehicle was located at a Kingsville resident, along with several other stolen vehicles, had been taken to a business in Corpus Christi.

The Corpus Christi Police Department Auto theft division was notified of the location of the other stolen vehicles and quickly responded to that location. They were able to locate several other stolen vehicles and confirmed the suspect we had in custody was the one responsible for the thefts of those vehicles as well.
