CORPUS CHRISTI– The Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District has been notified of the arrival of a second shipment of Moderna vaccines today. Mega vaccine drive thu clinics are being scheduled to take place Friday, January 15, and Saturday, January 16 at 8:00 a.m. for Phase 1A & 1B individuals at the Richard Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas, 1213 Terry Shamsie Boulevard.

All registration will be on site and staff will be on hand to assist individuals with registration. There will be no online pre-registration. Approximately 2,500 vaccines will be administered each day on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the drive thru clinic will be closed once it reaches 2,500 persons. The remaining vaccines, approximately 2,500, will be administered on Saturday until none are left.

This earlier than expected vaccine shipment comes after Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales and Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette M. Guajardo reached out to state officials requesting additional vaccines.

The City – County Public Health District will keep the community informed on potential future vaccine shipments next week.
