Mangonadas by MLB Opening This Summer

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) – This summer, residents, and visitors to downtown will have a new food option to enjoy while visiting Bayfront Park at 1513 North Shoreline Boulevard near the American Bank Center. The local business, Mangonadas by MLB, will sell high-quality fruit cups, smoothies, panini sandwiches, salads, and other refreshments.
At yesterday’s business meeting, City Council, on first reading, authorized the company to lease the Bayfront Park Kiosk. The kiosk had previously been vacant since 2018. “It is great to see our city offer an attraction for our tourists and locals to enjoy while also being supportive of the City’s local entrepreneurs,” stated Mayor Paulette M. Guajardo.
Mangonadas is owned by Yolanda Ibarra who created the company in July 2016. Prior to securing the kiosk, Ms. Ibarra ran Magonadas out of a food truck where she would partner with various festival organizers to sell goods. The Bayfront Park Kiosk will now afford Ms. Ibarra the opportunity to move her mobile business to a brick and mortar location. Magonadas by MLB will open to the public on July 1, 2021.
