Nueces County Precinct Five Constable

DRISCOLL (News Release) - On September 1,2023, at approximately 8:11 am, Nueces County Constable Pct 3 Deputies, along with Nueces County Constable Pct 5 Deputies, ESD 3 Fire personnel and Allegiance EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle roll over with the occupants still trapped inside.

Upon arrival, Deputies discovered a cargo van on its side within the median of Highway 77 and County Road 18. The Deputies discovered two occupants still inside the vehicle. One of the occupants, who was not injured, was able to walk out of the vehicle on his own. The other occupant was injured and was not able to move.

A Pct 3 Deputy, along with Allegiance EMS, were able to enter the van through a broken window on the back of the van. All on scene first responders, along with several highway workers, were then able to transport the injured subject to the ambulance.

The Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating the cause of the accident.
