Coastal Bend Coaches Association

COASTAL BEND, TEXAS - The Coastal Bend Coaches Association (CBCA) has announced its 2026 Hall of Honor class, recognizing three influential figures whose contributions have left a lasting mark on South Texas athletics.

This year's inductees are Bo Ochoa of San Diego, Sherry Luna of Bishop, and Drew Cox of Refugio. The trio will be honored for careers defined by excellence, leadership, and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.

According to the CBCA, the Hall of Honor recognizes individuals whose impact extends far beyond wins and championships. Through years of coaching, mentorship, and community involvement, Ochoa, Luna, and Cox helped shape successful athletic programs while instilling values such as discipline, teamwork, integrity, and perseverance in generations of young athletes.

The association noted that each inductee embodies the principles the CBCA strives to promote—passion for athletics, dedication to education, and leadership that strengthens communities throughout the Coastal Bend and South Texas.

The 2026 Hall of Honor class joins a distinguished group of coaches and leaders whose legacies continue to shape the future of athletics across the Coastal Bend.

CBCA officials congratulated Ochoa, Luna, and Cox on the honor, recognizing their decades of service and the positive impact they have made on Texas high school athletics.
