Large Grass Fire in Bishop
BISHOP - Around 10:45 a.m. the Nueces County Constable PCT-3, ESD-6 EMS, ESD-3 Fire Department units and Bishop Police Department were on the scene of a large brush fire near the 900 Block of U.S. Highway 77 Northbound, near Bishop Farm Equipment and Supply.
The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
U.S. Highway 77 Northbound was shutdown for about 1 hour due to safety concerns of the proximity of bulk fuel tanks next to the fire.
