Laredo Sector Border Patrol arrest undocumented individuals

LAREDO (News Release) – Several individuals traveling through the I-35 immigration checkpoint aboard a commercial bus were arrested by Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents for attempting to avoid apprehension by using fraudulent identification documents.

The incident occurred during the mid-morning of October 24, when Laredo North Station agents were conducting immigration inspections aboard a commercial passenger bus.  During the inspections, agents were presented with fraudulent U.S. passport cards by two individuals who were found to be in the country illegally.

Ismael Romero-Lopez, 25-year-old Mexican national and Luis Hernandez-Gutierrez, a 38-year-old-Mexcian national, were taken into custody to be processed for their immigration violations.
