Lady Badgers’ Playoff Run Ends in State Semifinals
EL MATON, TEXAS (News Release) - The Bishop Badgers girls basketball team saw its playoff run come to an end in the state semifinals with a 63-49 loss to the Hitchcock Lady Bulldogs.
Despite the setback, the Lady Badgers capped off a historic season under head coach Sherry Luna, who guided Bishop back to the state semifinals for the first time in four years. The appearance marked another milestone for a program that continues to push toward uncharted territory.
Bishop has reached the state semifinal round twice before but has yet to advance to a state championship game.
This season’s deep playoff run reinforces Bishop’s standing as one of the region’s premier programs and positions the Lady Badgers to remain contenders in the years ahead.El Maton
