Lady Badgers Claim District Title; Multiple Athletes Advance to Regionals

BISHOP, TEXAS (News Release) - Bishop High School is celebrating strong performances on the court following the latest district tennis competition.

The Lady Badgers captured the district championship title, while the Badgers boys team secured a third-place finish, showcasing determination and resilience throughout the tournament.

Several student-athletes also earned individual honors and advanced in postseason play. Ashton S. claimed the singles championship and will move on as a regional qualifier. The doubles team of Chloe G. and Zoey A. finished in second place, also earning a spot at the regional tournament.

Additional standout performances included Mathias S., who placed third in singles, and the doubles team of Joaquin M. and Gabby V., who also finished third. Both will serve as regional alternates. Lily B. and Kalie G. earned fourth place in doubles, along with Izzy R. and Jazlyn R., with both teams also named regional alternates.

The qualifying athletes will next compete at the regional tennis tournament scheduled for April 17–18 in Jourdanton.
