KINGSVILLE - Kingsville ISD posted on their website that retired Lt. Col. Steven J. Crites, former board president, has passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022.

Crites was the former H.M. King High School JROTC instructor who retired in 2017 after nearly 16 years with the district.
