Kingsville PD Assists DEA in Seizure of Approximately $300,000

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS (News Release) - Recently, the Kingsville Police Department, working in partnership with the Corpus Christi office of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), participated in an operation that resulted in the seizure of approximately $300,000 in U.S. currency concealed inside a vehicle.

According to federal authorities, the currency is alleged to be proceeds derived from criminal activity associated with drug trafficking and other illegal offenses. The investigation is being conducted in coordination with the U.S. Department of Justice.

At this time, details regarding the circumstances that led to the recovery of the currency remains unknown.
