City of Kingsville Honors NAS-K Month of the Military Child

KINGSVILLE (News Release) - Naval Air Station Kingsville Commanding Officer Capt. Eric Bromley and School Liaison Officer Sally Macias joined Kingsville Mayor Sam Fugate as he read a proclamation declaring April the “Month of the Military Child” during the City Council meeting, March 28.

The proclamation also calls on the citizens of Kingsville to wear purple on Wednesday, April 19 as a demonstration of solidarity with military children.

Each April is celebrated as the Month of the Military Child to recognize military kids for dealing with separations, deployments, frequent moves and other occurrences that are part of their parents’ military service.
