On April 2, Kingsville Border Patrol Station agents responded to a call for assistance from Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office deputies regarding a traffic stop for a possible human smuggling case in Ricardo. Agents arrived and determined six subjects were unlawfully present in the U.S. The vehicle was seized by KCSO deputies, and all subjects were transported to a Border Patrol facility. At the station, record checks on a Honduran national, revealed he was convicted in Arlington, Texas for attempt to commit indecency with a child sexual contact in 2019. He was sentenced to two years confinement.

Later that day, Kingsville Border Patrol Station agents apprehended two migrants attempting to circumvent the Javier Vega Jr. Checkpoint. During processing, record checks revealed a Salvadoran national as a MS-13 gang member who has been removed from the United States numerous times.
