TWO JUVENILE MURDER SUSPECTS ARRESTED

CORPUS CHRISTI- (News Release) At approximately 12:39 am on Saturday, February 19, 2022 officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Bolivar Street reference a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 17-year-old male who had been shot. Responding officers administered life savings measures on scene until medic units arrived, at which point the male was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Through their investigation, Homicide Detectives were able to determine that the parties were known to each other and quickly identified two suspects. Homicide Detectives secured directives to apprehend for two 16-year-old males in connection with the Murder.
At approximately 8:57 am on Monday, February 21, 2022, Corpus Christi Police Department officers, with assistance from CCISD Police Department officers located and took a 16-year-old juvenile into custody without incident.
At approximately 11:15 am on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, officers with the US Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force made contact with the parent of the second juvenile and notified the parent of the directive to apprehend. The parent identified a location where the juvenile was currently at. With assistance from Robstown Police Department, the Marshals located and took the 16-year-old juvenile into custody without incident.
Both juveniles were transported to the main police station to be interviewed, before being booked into the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center respectively.
