JFK Causeway Bridge Under Construction

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has resumed the $9 million JFK Causeway Bridge maintenance project leading to possible lane closures to allow contractors to perform incidental work.

Weather permitting, the contractor may close the westbound outside lane daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to work on bridge bearing pads underneath the bridge. The outside lane will be closed during these times to provide workers safe access from the top of the bridge.

Completion of the maintenance project is expected in the fall of 2023.
