Kingsville (News Release) - On Saturday, September 23, 2023, the Javelina Cross Country Invitational took place in Kingsville. The Santa Gertrudis Lions Varsity Boys had three runner’s medal: Magnus Ek (4th), Seth Lozano (14th) and Joshua Vera (15th).

The Varsity Lady Lions team placed 8th overall with two runners medaling; Aubreigh Harvey (10th) and Mika Munoz (12th).

The Santa Gertrudis JV Boys placed 2nd as a team and had 3 runners medal; Connor Rosenbaum (7th), Jose Silguero (12th) and Tyler Garcia (13th).

The 7th and 8th grade boys were combined and came out with an 8th place team finish. The runners consisted of; Isaiah Torres (12th), Derek Guerra, Jesus Villagrana, Raul Macias, Nathan Carpentier and Ryan Garcia.

The 7th and 8th grade girls were also combined and finished 3rd place as a team. The runners were Sofia Dall (6th), Brileigh Spiers (18th), Kalo Mendietta, Cami Recio, Harriet Purdy, Natalia Fernandez, Adriana Saenz, and Kadence Silgeuro.

Riviera Varsity Boys finished 5th as a team and had one medalist, Kaleb DeLeon (17th).

The Riviera Varsity Girls came in 7th as a team with two girls medaling, Katélina Rendón (10th) and Adelina Bell (20th).

The Rivera Middle School boys finished 3rd team overall with three medalists, Isaac Gomez (12th), Joshua Ochoa (15th), Jake White (17th). Kenzie Davis was our lone Middle School girl representing Riviera.
