National Weather Service has Issued a Flash Flood Warning

BISHOP, TEXAS - (News Release) National Weather Service Corpus Christi, Texas has issued a Flash Flood Warning for...Aransas, Kleberg and Nueces Counties, until 1230 PM CDT.

At 930 AM CDT on July 25, 2024, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing. Several roads along Padre Island have several inches of water flowing over them. Several automated rain gauges have reports of 10 inches of rain in the last 6 hours.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Please use caution if driving on area roadways. If you approach a flooded roadway, please remember, “Turn Around, Don’t Drown”.
