KINGSVILLE – The Rotary Club of Kingsville is proud to announce a timely accomplishment achieved by the first Interact Club sponsored by Kingsville Rotary. The club elected officers on November 16, 2020 and immediately decided to host a Blanket, Jacket and Glove drive to help those in need through the winter. The group quickly designed flyers, created collection boxes and liaised with local businesses to collect winter gear. The initiative successfully netted a total of 12 bags of blankets, hats, jackets and gloves. The items were delivered to Mother Teresa Shelter in Corpus Christi so that all the winter gear could be distributed to those in need. Great job Interact! The students are hoping the winter weather gear will make a meaningful impact for those in need who will be affected by the major Coastal Bend cold front that arrived today.
