Kleberg County Attorney's Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force 

KLEBERG COUNTY (News Release) - On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, agents conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck that was heading south bound on US Highway 77 in Kleberg County. During the traffic stop agents noticed several inconsistent statements made by the driver.

Due to these inconsistencies, agents believed that the driver was involved in criminal activity. Agents obtained verbal consent from the driver and were able to locate a large amount of US currency in an aftermarket compartment located in the bed of the pickup truck.

The suspect was released pending further investigation.
