Navy T-45C Goshawk Jet Trainer Crashed on Approach to NAS Kingsville

KINGSVILLE (News Release) - On Tuesday, August 16 at approximately 12 p.m., a Navy T-45C Goshawk jet trainer aircraft assigned to Training Air Wing 2 at Naval Air Station Kingsville crashed on approach to NAS Kingsville.

One instructor pilot was aboard and ejected from the aircraft. The pilot was transported to Christus Spohn Hospital-Kleberg for further evaluation.

The aircraft impacted an empty field on Navy property just north of the airfield. NAS Kingsville Emergency Services and Kingsville Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. No civilians were harmed in this incident.

The pilot was conducting a routine training flight that originated at NAS Kingsville.
