CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - (News Release) Did you Know that the Sensory Room at La Retama Central Library is the only free public sensory room in the South Texas region?
Since its grand opening in March, more than 500 children, parents, and guardians have visited the La Retama Sensory Room.
The Sensory Room is available to children ages 14 and under with their parents and caregivers. The Corpus Christi Public Libraries is partnering with area agencies to bring families a monthly speaker series aimed at caregivers raising children with sensory processing needs.
The space was made possible by funding from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission Grant Program and generous private donations.
