Four Arrested After Narcotics Raid in Freer
Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office
FREER, TEXAS (News Release) - Four Freer residents were arrested following a narcotics raid early Friday morning, April 17, 2026, authorities said.
At approximately 6 a.m., the Freer Police Department, assisted by the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, executed a narcotics search warrant in the 100 block of East Hahl Street within the city limits of Freer.
Officials said the operation stemmed from a months-long investigation aimed at curbing narcotics activity and improving public safety in the community.
During the search, officers seized an undisclosed quantity of narcotics along with $16,090 in U.S. currency. Authorities believe the cash is tied to the sale of illegal drugs.
The following individuals were taken into custody: Esequiel Leal Jr., Isaac Juan Flores, Natalie Cadena, and Gina Morales, all of Freer.
All four were transported to the Duval County Sheriff's Office Jail, where they were charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, between 200 and 400 grams — a first-degree felony — and possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1/1-B, less than one gram — a state jail felony.
No additional information has been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
