Firefighters Respond to Morning Structure Fire on City’s Southside

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) – Corpus Christi firefighters battled a structure fire shortly before 8:00 a.m. on 6/15/22 at a residential home in the 4400 block of Sutton Lane. Two victims have been transported to a local hospital. There is no word on their condition.

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire and smoke, but the blaze has since been extinguished. Fire crews remain on the scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

“Firefighters extricated two individuals from their residence under heavy fire and smoke conditions. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family,” said Fire Chief Robert Rocha.
