Fire Incident at Texas A&M University Kingsville Memorial Student Union Building

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS - On Sunday, May 25, 2025, a fire occurred at Texas A&M University Kingsville Memorial Student Union Building, resulting in smoke damage to the west wing.

The incident was reported to emergency personnel around 4:30 am.

Several fire departments responded, including Kingsville Fire Department, Kleberg County Fire Department, Bishop’s Fire Department Nueces County ESD 3, and Annaville’s Fire Department Nueces County ESD 1.

The cause of the fire is under investigation as authorities work to determine its origin and ensure the safety of the university community.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
