Felony Warrant for Evading Police Using Motor Vehicle

ROBSTOWN, TEXAS (News Release) - On January 13, 2025, Precinct 5 Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a motorcycle that was heading East on the 14600 block of Northwest Boulevard.

When deputies attempted to stop the male on the motorcycle, he quickly accelerated and made it to I-37 where he quickly eluded out deputies. Minutes late, the male operator of the motorcycle crashed into the back of a Toyota 4-runner and fled on foot. With help of Corpus Christi police and Pct. 5 deputies, the male was caught and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Due to his injuries, he wasn’t arrested at the time.

23-year-old Andrew Cavazos of Portland, Texas.

An arrest warrant was issued, and he was arrested yesterday, February 18, 2025, with the assistance and Portland Police.

23-year-old Andrew Cavazos of Portland, Texas faces felony evading police in motor vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of evading police on foot.
