Fatal Crash on HWY 35N

ROCKPORT, TEXAS - (News Release) Today, July 24th at 12:44 pm the Rockport Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 4800 block of State Highway 35 North.
The crash occurred when a 2013 Cadillac CTS traveling Northbound entered the Westbound turn lane at John D. Wendell Road and crossed into the Southbound Lane of travel.
The Cadillac then collided with a 2015 Ford F350 traveling Southbound with a dump trailer, causing the trailer to jackknife and initiate a second impact with the Cadillac.
The driver of the Cadillac identified as Carly Spring, 37, a resident of Rockport and Shreveport, LA, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2. Next of kin has been notified.
