Fatal Crash – 3 Cars Involved

ARANSAS PASS - (News Release) On Wednesday, June 29th, 2022, around 11:20 p.m., APPD officers & public safety crews were sent to the 2100 Blk of Hwy. 361 for a major crash involving three vehicles. Officers learned one person had been thrown from a vehicle and another remained trapped inside a vehicle.

Officers arrived on the scene and immediately provided medical aid. APFD arrived on location with the JAWS of life to help extract the trapped individual. Unfortunately, the trapped driver Ivan Siverand AGE 24 of Aransas Pass died on location from his injuries. Another individual had to be lifted by Halo Flight to Spohn Shoreline and remains in critical condition.

Alcohol might have been a contributing factor in the crash. Those details along with the cause of the crash remain under investigation. As we learn more, we will share more.
