ESC Region 2 Announce Teacher of the Year Regional Winners
CORPUS CHRISTI - Four local teachers from Kingsville were nominated to compete at the regional level for the Teacher of the Year award from Education Service Center, Region 2.
Kingsville ISD nominated Jennifer L. Spohn for the Elementary division and Cory A. Scarborough for the Secondary division.
Santa Gertrudis ISD nominated Yadira Ahumada for the Elementary division and Rebecca West for the Secondary division.
Heather Franzone of London ISD won the Elementary division.
Cynthia Hopkins of CCISD won the Secondary division.
Both teachers will move on to compete at the state level later this year.
