BISHOP, TEXAS (News Release) - Traffic headed southbound on U.S. Highway 77 at FM 70 near Bishop was diverted Sunday morning following a large truck fire that occurred at approximately 8 am on September 20, 2026, according to Nueces County ESD 3 in Bishop.

Emergency crews responded to the scene as the truck fire was handled. Motorists traveling through the area experienced traffic delays while the incident was cleared.
Southbound traffic was diverted near the U.S. 77 and FM 70 intersection.
