Drill and Training with APISD

Aransas Pass Police Department

ARANSAS PASS, TEXAS - (News Release) APISD and APPD teamed up with APFD and Tri-County EMS to conduct training during the summer.

Aransas Pass Police Department hosted numerous active attack training courses over the summer, including the ALERRT Level 1 and ALERRT Active Attack Integrated Response (AAIR) Courses.

This year, they concluded their summer training program with an Active Attack Drill and an off-site reunification exercise.

APPD started the day by instructing all APISD staff on the CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) course, and then APFD and Tri-County EMS instructed staff on the “Stop the Bleed” curriculum.

In the afternoon, they staged an active attack event at Faulk Elementary, in which all staff from Faulk Elementary and Charlie Marshall Elementary played the roles of administrators, teachers, and students. APISD staff then conducted an off-site reunification exercise.
