Council Approves $35 Million in Rapid Pavement Program
City of Corpus Christi
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) – Corpus Christi City Council took a significant step towards enhancing the City’s infrastructure by approving construction contracts totaling $35,000,000. These contracts, awarded to three local contractors, will fund the repaving of 27 miles of residential streets.
This milestone marks a significant achievement within the City’s Bond 2024 Program, which received strong voter support just five months ago. The initiative highlights the City’s dedication to enhancing road safety and improving driving conditions for all residents.
The City of Corpus Christi's Public Works Department will oversee the project's execution by issuing multiple delivery orders detailing specific scopes and requirements to ensure efficiency and high-quality results.
“Our City Council continues to deliver on its commitment to improving the quality of life for our residents,” said Mayor Paulette Guajardo. “Approving $35 million in Rapid Pavement Program contracts through Bond 2024 is another major step forward in strengthening our residential streets. We are investing in safer, smoother neighborhoods for generations to come.”
