City of Corpus Christi Awards Contract for Reclaimed Water Project

City of Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) – Corpus Christi City Council awarded a contract to Reytec Construction Resources, Inc., based in Houston, Texas, valued at up to $16,194,400.

This contract allows for the procurement of items necessary to construct a pump station and reclaimed water line from the Oso Water Reclamation Plant to the Greenwood Water Reclamation Plant. As the pump station and reclaimed water line are constructed, Valero will build its own infrastructure to collect reclaimed water for its own use, reducing demand on potable water reserves.

This strategic project is a significant step towards enhancing the city's water sustainability and infrastructure. It demonstrates the City's commitment to innovative water management and to providing local industries with alternative resources.

"We are excited to partner with Reytec Construction Resources, Inc. for this critical infrastructure project," said Jeff Edmonds, Director of Engineering Services. "This project is a testament to our commitment to sustainable water management and supporting our industrial sector with innovative solutions."
