Corpus Christi Announces a Webpage for MLK Day

CORPUS CHRISTI –The City of Corpus Christi is inviting the community to visit its newly created Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service webpage at www.cctexas.com/MLK. It contains a schedule of virtual events leading up to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 18, 2021.
Scheduled events include: A financial empowerment forum and virtual MLK March featuring online guest speakers including former Civil Rights Freedom Riders and more. Participants must register for these virtual events by emailing educatesomeone@hotmail.com.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, the annual MLK March to Downtown will not take place this year. Residents are encouraged to continue visiting the MLK Day of Service webpage for additional updates.
