3/27/25-FLASH FLOOD IN EFFECT. Abundant Gulf moisture combined with a slow moving storm system will bring the potential for multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms, some with very heavy rainfall. The rain will continue tonight through Friday morning before ending. Given the hard dry soil from the lack of rainfall over the past several months, there is a potential for this heavy rain to quickly run off producing flash flooding.

AFFECTED AREAS - McMullen, Live Oak, Bee, Goliad, Victoria, Duval, Jim Wells, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland San Patricio, Coastal Aransas, Inland Refugio, Inland Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal San Patricio, Coastal Refugio and Coastal Calhoun.

CORPUS CHRISTI – (News Release) At the November 22, 2022, special meeting of the City Council, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and City Council canvassed the results of the November 8 General Election. None of the candidates received a majority vote in the Council Member District 1, 2, and 3 races. Per the City Charter, the candidates receiving the highest and second highest number of votes will enter a runoff election. The runoff election is scheduled for December 13.

Registered voters in Districts 1, 2, and 3 will be able to cast their Early Voting and Election Day ballots at the following locations in Corpus Christi during the designated dates and times:**

 The last day to apply for a ballot by mail is Friday, December 2. For information on how to apply, call the Nueces County Clerk’s Office at 361-888 0865.
