Continue Repairs at Intersection of S. Staples and SPID

City of Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) – City crews continue to conduct roadwork following emergency street repairs at the intersection of South Staples Street and South Padre Island Drive (SPID).

The work, causing various lane closures from McArdle Road to SPID, was expected to be completed by Wednesday evening. However, unforeseen delays added time to the work time.

Motorists should expect to see various southbound lane closures along Staples from SPID to McArdle Road. At the same time, traffic will be open to motorists traveling northbound.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted signs.
