CC Senior Companion Program Director Receives Award

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - (News Release) Jeannine Leal, Senior Companion Program Director, received the Impactful Service Award on August 1, 2024, at the AmeriCorps Seniors Convening.
Five individuals were awarded from a group of 1,300 AmeriCorps staff from across the country. Jeannine was the only award recipient from Texas. This is the first time in the history of the Senior Companion Program in Corpus Christi that a director received this recognition.
In this position, Jeannine implemented creative and innovative programs that benefit the Senior Companions who assist seniors and adults in retaining their independence in their own home.
