Car Hydroplanes off Highway 77 in Bishop

BISHOP, TEXAS (News Release) - On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Nueces County Constable Precinct 3, ESD 3, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of northbound Highway 77 and County Road 10.

Officials say the vehicle hydroplaned off the roadway and came to rest in the median. Northbound traffic was temporarily closed while a wrecker removed the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Authorities remind drivers to reduce speed and use caution during wet road conditions.
