Butterfly and Birding Center Could Open in Kingsville

KINGSVILLE - On Monday, July 10, Kingsville City Commissioners voted unanimously to create an interactive butterfly and birding center targeted towards children.

Kingsville plans to fund the center through a venue tax.

The center is proposed to be located at the Henrietta Memorial Center, which the King Ranch owns, and will allow the city to lease the current space.

If approved by the State, the city of Kingsville would bring it to voters for approval in November.
