BPD Back to School Safety Tips

BPD Back to School Safety Tips

Bishop Police Department

BISHOP, TEXAS - (News Release) As children prepare to head back to school this week, BPD would like to wish our students, teachers and staff a safe and successful school year.

They would also like to remind everyone there will be an increase in vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle traffic, especially in and around school zones this week.

Please remember to:

Follow all traffic signs

Obey the speed limits, especially within the school zones

Do not use cellphones in school zones

Stop for buses loading and off loading students

If you are walking to or from school, please use crosswalks, limit your cellphone usage and always be on the look out for oncoming traffic!

In addition to BPD School Resource Officers (SRO’s) at every campus this year, there will also be increased law enforcement presence and traffic enforcement in and around school zones.

Lets all do our part to make sure our

kids stay safe.

BPD would like to wish all of the Bishop Badgers a wonderful 2024-2025 school year, filled with success.
