BISHOP, TEXAS - (News Release) On May 27th Officers and Command Staff from Bishop Police Department and Nueces County Constable Precinct 3, along with local veterans and community members, gathered at Amistad Veterans’ Memorial Park for American Legion POST 185’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony.

American Legion Board Member and U.S. Navy Veteran, Mr. Dain Denkeler served as the Master of Ceremonies for this event. The Boy / Cub Scouts of Troop 53 under the direction of U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and Scoutmaster, Ryan Parr and U.S. Army Veteran and Troop Leader, Billy Kinsel, presented the colors, conducted a flag raising ceremony, and laid a wreath honoring our fallen service members.

The guest speaker at this event was, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and Bishop Police Department Chief of Police, Edward F. Day II.

Honored guests at this event included: U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and Nueces County Pct-3 Constable Jimmy Rivera, local veterans representing multiple branches of the U.S. military and their families, area Law Enforcment Officers and members of our community.
