BISHOP - (News Release) On Monday, March 14th, 2022, At a regularly scheduled board meeting, Nueces County Emergency Services District 6 (ESD-6) EMS Commissioners presented brand new Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to both the Bishop Police Department and Nueces County Precinct 3 Constable Office.

Thanks to the overwhelming support and continued public safety partnership between ESD-6 EMS and local law enforcement, patrol officers who are trained and certified to use AED devices will now have this lifesaving equipment in their vehicles while out on patrol.

The deployment of these devices among our uniformed patrol officers will undoubtedly allow our officers to be better equipped to respond to and assist EMS in providing essential aid to citizens during cardiac emergencies.

Thank you once again to the entire ESD-6 board for your assistance in helping to make the City of Bishop and surrounding areas safer for everyone with these generous contributions!
