BISHOP - (News Release) The Bishop Police Department has officially began their transition of Police, Fire and EMS dispatch services over to Corpus Christi Police Department’s MetroCom.

MetroCom is a consolidated public safety dispatch center, which currently provides Police, Fire, and EMS call taking and dispatch services for the City of Corpus Christi, City of Driscoll, Nueces County and now for the City of Bishop.

If you have an emergency requiring immediate Police, Fire, or EMS response please call 911!

For Non-Emergency: 361-826-2900

All calls to Bishop Police Department’s Non-Emergency Lines: 361-584-2443 and 361-584-2666, will be forwarded to MetroCom.

To reach the Bishop Police Department directly, please call our Administrative Line: 361-584-3255.

The Bishop Police Department’s Administrative Line should be used for general inquiries, vehicle impound information, animal control requests, police report / crash report requests, or to speak to an officer / detective regarding an ongoing or past case. Please remember this phone number is not to be used for calls requiring Police, Fire or EMS response.

Bishop Police Department Administrative Telephone Line is available Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM.

Bishop Police Department Officers are on duty and available 24 / 7 and this will not change the availability or response of Bishop Police Officers to calls for service.

This transition will improve Police, Fire, and EMS communications and coordination, offer residents quicker emergency response times and access to greater emergency communications infrastructure such as, text to 911 and other Next Generation 911 (NG911) services.
