CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - (News Release) Service members and staff from throughout NAS Corpus Christi participated in the Bells Across America ceremony held today(9/26) at NASCC Fleet & Family Support Center to remember and reflect on those heroes who gave their life in service to the USA..

Each year the Navy Gold Star Program hosts a ceremony on the Thursday before the last Sunday in September, (Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day). Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day is intended to recognize and honor those mothers and families who have lost a son, daughter, or service member in the service of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Bells Across America ceremony is a way for us to pay tribute to the brave men and women who died in service to the USA as well as to recognize the sacrifices of those who have been left behind.
