Beach Volleyball Tournament

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) – On Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1, the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Islanders Women’s NCAA Division I Beach Volleyball Team will host the 2023 Conni & Jay Wise Island Classic at The Water’s Edge located at 402 S. Shoreline Boulevard.

The Beach Volleyball event will feature four universities, including Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Houston Christian University, Stephen F. Austin State University and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. These teams will all play in a round-robin tournament over two days.

The two-day event is free and open to the public. Seating is available on the seawall steps. There will also be a DJ and a variety of food trucks.

Friday, March 31

9:00 a.m. Houston Christian University vs. Stephen F. Austin University

11:00 a.m. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi vs. Stephen F. Austin University

1:00 a.m. Houston Christian University vs. Texas A&M University-Kingsville

Saturday, April 1

9:00 a.m. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi vs. Houston Christian University

11:00 a.m. Stephen F. Austin University vs. Texas A&M University-Kingsville

1:00 p.m. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi vs. Texas A&M University-Kingsville

This will be the fifth home tournament in school history. The Islanders Beach Volleyball program began in 2016.
