CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - The 47th Annual Beach to Bay Relay Marathon was held on Saturday, May 18. Over 8,000 runners and hundreds of spectators participated in the annual event.
Beach to Bay is one of the largest relay marathons in the United States and draws competitors from across the globe to honor those serving in the United States military.
Participants can run the 26.2-mile course in three different ways: as a relay of six runners, a relay of two runners or one runner completing the full marathon.
The race began at 7:00 am on the beach near the intersection of Ellif Road and Access Road 5 and ended at McCaughan Park on Shoreline Drive.
