Arrest Made in Overnight Homicide

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - (News Release) On Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2:10am, officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Moultrie Drive in reference to a shooting with injuries.
Officers arrived and located a deceased adult male victim who had suffered from a gunshot wound.
Homicide detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division arrived on scene to investigate. Preliminary investigation found that the victim and 34-year-old Cody Ramos had a verbal disturbance over property when Ramos produced a firearm and shot the victim.
Ramos was arrested for murder and transported to the City Detention Center for booking.
This incident is not a random act of violence as the victim and offender were known to each other.
