Arrest Made in Early Morning Intoxication Assault

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - (News Release) On Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 5:52am, officers were dispatched to the intersection of McArdle/Mokry reference a major traffic collision involving a bicyclist.

Officers arrived and located a male bicyclist had been struck by a black passenger car. Medics transported the male to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers determined that the female driver of the passenger car was traveling westbound on McArdle Road and struck the bicyclist, who was also traveling westbound on McArdle Road. Officers determined that the driver, Faith Perez, was intoxicated and she was ultimately arrested for intoxication assault causes serious bodily injury. After being medically cleared at a local hospital, Perez was transported to the City Detention Center for booking.
