Aransas Pass PD Sponsors Active Attack Response Training

ARANSAS PASS (News Release) - Last week, Aransas Pass Police Department officers, along with area first responders were at the Aransas Pass High School conducting the Active Attack Integrated Response Training.

The 2-day course focused on the active attack response including single officer tactics.

The course primarily focused on the integration with other law enforcement responders, integration with school I.S.D. staff, and rescue task force operations.

In addition to the course, a voluntary course was offered to all Aransas Pass school staff which included the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events, a refresher course on "Stop the Bleed," and an overview of LE Response, Rescue Task Force Operation, and the LE Rescue Model.

The Aransas Pass ISD staff was able to fill different roles within the course including being part of the incident command system, being a school guardian member, and being an injured role player.

42 first responders and 15 Aransas Pass ISD staff members took part in the training.
